Volunteer with MEO
We welcome volunteers, and would love to hear from you if you’re eager to share your time and energy to support MEO’s work.
As you reach out, remember that MEO intentionally centers Black and brown folks in its work. Our mission—to create spaces for BIPOC joy, learning, community, and connection to land—means that we leave it to our youth to invite white folks into their space, and sometimes, we might ask white folks to step back from participating directly in our programs. However, there are always many, many ways that white folks can help us out behind the scenes as allies: with administrative work, grant writing, fundraising, graphic design, photography, tech support, and more. This guiding principle also applies to compensation: If you’re a person of color or of limited economic resources, we want to compensate you! But if you’re a person with privilege or whiteness, we might ask that you donate your time as a volunteer.
