The new design features the MEO logo on the front and two quotes about starlings on the back. Why starlings? MEO's founding values have emerged from the wisdom of many Black and brown movement leaders, including adrienne maree brown, whose book Emergent Strategy looks to the wisdom of starlings. Starlings fly together in complex flocks called murmurations, traveling great distances and creating beautiful displays in community, collectively and under shared leadership. This new design is to honor that principle, and the fact that all of you—our community—are part of our work towards outdoor equity and liberation for all.
